General Description

Life Saver’s pool fence is a removable mesh pool fence designed specifically to provide a barrier around residential swimming pools for toddlers and young children. The fence is installed in sections to provide convenience for easy removal and reinstallation by you, the homeowner. Available in 42, 48, 54 or 60 inch heights.

The System

Our tension based system utilizes a series of 15 foot sections of fence with inserts for mounting in non-conducting polypropylene sleeves core drilled 4 inches deep into a concrete deck or other substantial surface, connected in series at the top with 2 1/2 inch brass safety hooks with stainless springs. What does this mean to you? The fence remains sturdy by tension supplied from reinforced aluminum poles that slip into your deck. Pool fencing can be installed in almost any type of deck. Mesh

Life Saver pool fence is constructed with a polyester mesh fabric utilizing a mildew resistant polyvinyl coating that provides years of use in the
harshest sunlight. It’s woven with a continuous basket weave that boasts an incredible tensile strength rating of 270 lbs. per inch making it impossible to rip under normal use. The mesh comes in black, beige, white, green, or gray. Bordered on all four sides by a reinforced vinyl material with a rating of 387 lbs., the fence is kept from sagging and the necessary tension is maintained throughout at the top and bottom. All border is triple stitched with the strongest marine thread to allow for years of abuse from direct sunlight and the elements.

The finished mesh is securely mounted on aluminum poles and reinforced with aluminum cove molding strips attached to each pole.

Support Poles

Poles are constructed of aluminum and can come in either black powder coated, white powder coated, green powder coated, or silver mill finish. All poles are fiber core reinforced at critical stress points. QUAD-X core aluminum poles are available in our premium line of fencing to provide even more support. Pole spacing is optional at either 30 or 36 inches.

Stainless steel screws (14) are utilized for securely attaching the aluminum cove molding to the poles and mesh.

The poles’ surfaces are finished for handling and to prevent injuries from
physical contact, and all poles are capped to provide a neat finished appearance. Standard sections supplied are 15 feet making it easy for you to remove and reinstall the fence. A standard section weighs only 14 lbs. Short sections are available down to 5 feet in length for 30" pole spacing models and 6 feet for the 36" spacing models.

Gate Options

Life Saver Pool Fences are normally equipped with brass safety latches -- totally rust resistant. To open the fence, first squeeze the poles together using one hand and open the latch with the other.

Then, put one arm over the fence facing the gate opening and place your thumb and forefinger on the top of the pole. Push towards the gate opening in line with the fence and the pole will turn in your hand once it is centered in the sleeve. Push again on the top of the pole and lift out as the pole centers in the sleeve. This can all be done in one step and is much easier than it sounds.

You can then open the fence like a door, putting the pole into the convenient lay-back hole.

Since not all requirements are the same, we have developed the option system to let you customize your new fence to meet your specific needs. Life Saver provides you with over 50 different styles of fence to choose from.

Our standard product is Black Safety Mesh, 4 feet (48 inches) high, utilizing reinforced standard aluminum support poles. This model fence is manufactured with an industry standard of 36 inches between support poles. It is our standard and most popular model of fence. The 30 inch support pole spacing not only adds to the safety and strength of the fence, but also provides more control for fence turns and free form type installations. The 4 foot height is used as the standard for US Consumer Product Safety Commission recommendations for pool safety fencing. It is also the height required by most states and counties that have passed laws requiring pool isolation barriers for child safety.

QUAD-X core aluminum poles are stronger than standard fiber reinforced aluminum poles and should always be considered over standard aluminum where pole breakage or abuse is highly likely.

Options for different mesh colors, pole colors, alternative border trims, etc. are all intended to accommodate individual tastes or preferences in the pool fence’s appearance.
